Our Cusco City tour starts with a convenient pickup from your hotel. We will then head to our first destination, ready for an exciting afternoon of exploration.
The Cusco City tour begins at the Cathedral of Cusco, a masterpiece of religious art, where the first stone was laid in 1560. With approximately 300 paintings from the Cusco School of Art, this cathedral showcases the blend of indigenous and Spanish colonial influences.

Next, we visit the Koricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. Located at the heart of Cusco, this was once one of the most important religious centers for the Incas, dedicated to the worship of the sun god Inti. The temple is now housed within the Convento de Santo Domingo.

We then venture just outside to explore Sacsayhuamán, a majestic archaeological site known for its massive stone walls, some blocks weighing over 120 tons. This fortress was the site of the Inti Raymi festival, celebrating the Sun God every June 24th.

A short drive takes us to Q'enqo, a religious center dedicated to the Earth and possibly to funerary rituals. This ancient site is full of fascinating carvings and Inca spiritual significance.

We’ll continue our Cusco City tour to Puca Pucara, a military site used for control and rest stops for travelers during the Inca period. Its strategic location makes it an important part of the ancient road network.

Our final stop is Tambomachay, also known as the Temple of Water. This site was dedicated to the worship of water, and its well-preserved fountains and canals show the Incas' remarkable engineering skills.

After a full day of exploring these magnificent sites, we’ll return to the heart of Cusco, where the tour ends.
